Below are a list of the different poker hand combinations and their rankings. They are listed on this page here on Virtual-Poker.info in order of the strongest hand to the weakest poker hand starting from the top of the page.

Royal Flush: Is a sequence of five high cards all of which belong to the same suit. There is only four Royal Flush combinations that can be made one for each suit. The Royal Flush hand is the highest hand that can be made in the majority of poker variations.

Example of a Royal Flush:

  • 10, J, Q, K, A

Straight Flush: A Straight Flush is a sequence of cards in the same suit The Straight Flush hand is a combination of a Flush hand and a Straight. So in order to form this hand all the cards must be in the same suit and they must all be consecutive as well. To rank a Straight the value on the high end of the Straight is taken to determine the winner of the hand if say there were to Straight Flush or Straight hands in one round of betting.

Example of a Straight Flush:

  • 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

  • A, 2, 3, 4,, 5

Four of a Kind: This hand is formed when there are four cards of the same index. Four cards of the same value make for the third highest poker hand. Four of a kind beats everything except for a Straight Flush and a Royal Flush.

Example of a Four of a Kind:

  • K, K, K, K, 3

Full House: This hand is a combinations of three of a kind and a pair. So this means that all five cards in this hand are part of a set of either three cards of the same value or two cards of the same value. Should two players or more ever get this hand at the same time the tie would be broken by the three of a kind. So the player with the highest three of a kind will win the hand.

Example of a Full House:

  • A, A, A, J, J

Flush: A Flush is a set of five cards in the the same suite but not in sequence. In a Flush if by chance two players get Flush's the winner is determined by whoever has the high card in the Flush.

Example of a Flush:

  • 2, 4, 7, J, K

Straight: A Straight is a sequence of cards that are not a part of the same suit. In a case where there are two or more players that have Straights the high card in the Straight determines the winner. If here is a tie with the Straights the pot would then be split.

Example of a Flush:

  • 3 , 4, 5 , 6 , 7

Three of a Kind: The Three of a kind hand is when you have three cards of the same value. Should two or more players ever have three of a kind in one round of poker the player with the highest set of three cards in the three of a kind hand will be the winner.

Example of Three of a Kind:

  • 7 , 7 , 7 , 3 , A

Two Pairs: This is when a players has two separate pairs of card. If there are two or more players that have Two Pairs the player with the highest pair will be the winner.

Example of Two Pairs:

  • 7, 7 , A , A , K

Pair: One pair is then there are two card of equal value. Should two or more players get a pair the player with the highest pair wins the pot.

Example of Two Pairs:

  • A, A, 2 , 5 , J

High Card: When the hand you are left with has no pairs, is not a straight or a flush then it's relative value is determined by the highest value card. When two players have no pairs, straight, or flush the winner of the tie is determined by the highest value card in the hand. If the highest cards are a tie then the tie is broken by the second highest card. Suits are not used to break ties.
