Empire Poker Overview:

One of the largest poker rooms on the web today, Empire Poker boasts a minimum of 50,000 players taking part in their festivities during peak playing hours, 10,000 of them playing for real money. Empire Poker offers some the best single-table tournaments and live games out there. They are currently promoting a give away of seats to the World Series of Poker tournament. Definitely one the biggest and best poker rooms on the web today.

Bonuses:

All new players to Empire Poker will be eligible to receiving a 20% match bonus up to $120 (for example, if you deposit $300 – you will receive an extra $60 or if you deposit $600 or more, you will be rewarded with an extra $120).

Cash-outs:

If you are a high ranked player, cash-outs are typically paid to NETeller and other online banking service clients within 6 hours. Otherwise it will usually take no longer than 24 to 48 hours to be paid out. These items are typical of most highly rated poker rooms and online casinos.

Game Information:

The average pot size is not always posted on every game in this poker room, so like many other poker room, it is advised that you watch a game for a few minutes before getting involved. This way you will have a good understanding of the average pot size and the players habits, before getting in on it.

Competition:

Because this poker room has the ability to host so many players (thousands) at one time, you will be sure to find a game that suits your interest (and bank roll). The competition is what you make of it. If you are a beginner, there will be many tables full of beginner players and same goes for intermediates. Beware though, as online poker rooms are a great way for professionals to practice new strategies and polish up old ones. You may find that you might be out on a waiting list (which is typical) when trying to get in on no limit and high stakes games. Obviously these types of games are rarer than the low limit $1 and $2 popular games.

Customer Service:

Empire Poker offers a 24 hour live help chat feature and a 24 hour toll free phone support for any players with questions or comments. Both are quite helpful.

Promotions:

Besides the sign up bonuses, Empire Poker is featuring some really great promotions. The first being, seats in the World Series of Poker (WSOP). They are featuring freeroll tournaments at the end of every month where the top two finishers will win a seat in the WSOP. These tournaments are only open to players who have played at least 3000 hands (raked) within the given month. A dream for every serious poker player is a chance to play in the WSOP.

You can also win a seat in the WSOP if you are the winner of a combined single-table and multi-table tournament. The top fifty single-tourney players compete with the top fifty multi-table tourney players of each month and the winner goes to the WSOP.

If you are a VIP member at Empire poker, you can use your points to buy-in to a special tournament where the winner also gets entry into the WSOP

Another great promotional feature that Empire Poker uses to attract players is the idea of guaranteed prize pool tournaments. This means that no matter how many players buy-in to the tournament the prize will be what was advertised. For example, say the prize guaranteed is $5000. The buy-in is $20. In a normal tournament the amount of players would have to be 250 to create a $5000 prize pool. But with Empires guarantee, in this instance, if only 175 players register, Empire Poker will put up the remaining money needed to reach the $5000 that was guaranteed.

VIP Club:

Another promotional tool used by Empire Poker is the VIP Club. For serious players this is a great feature. If you are a member, you will earn one point for every 10 raked hands played, 1 point for every $2 paid in fees when you are taking part in any single table tournament/game and 1 point for every $1 paid in fees when playing in a multi table tournament. If you reach a total of 5000 points you are named an “official VIP” and all points earned (as just mentioned) will be doubled. VIP points can be used to buy into special tournaments (like the one offering a free WSOP seat to the winner) and used to buy Empire Poker merchandise.
